Brace Yourselves: LEGO Unveils Epic Dungeons & Dragons Set!

Introducing the newest addition to the LEGO universe: the LEGO Ideas 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale set! Crafted by the ingenious minds of LEGO fans, this epic brick rendition of the iconic tabletop game is a celebration of Dungeons & Dragons' 50th anniversary. For the first time ever, the LEGO Group collaborated with fans via the LEGO Ideas platform to bring this fantastical adventure to life.

From over 600 submissions, the winning design came from 33-year-old Lucas Bolt, also known as BoltBuilds, hailing from Amsterdam. Lucas's vision, inspired by his passion for history, fantasy, and game design, was meticulously crafted into a 3,745-piece set. Working closely with the LEGO design team and Wizards of the Coast, Lucas brought to fruition an intricate tavern, dungeon, tower, and a cast of six LEGO minifigures, including iconic characters like the Orc Rogue and Elf Wizard.

But the adventure doesn't stop there! LEGO fans were also given the opportunity to design the cover of the set's building instructions. Chris Yu's winning design captures an epic battle of good versus evil, centered around the iconic 20-sided die. It's a testament to the core values of collaboration, creativity, and adventure that define Dungeons & Dragons.

To celebrate the launch of the set, the LEGO Group hosted a legendary game night at LEGO House, featuring well-known Dungeons & Dragons players like Anjali Bhimani and Luis Carazo. Recorded live, this epic adventure will premiere on LEGO.com/DnD and the Dungeons & Dragons YouTube and Twitch channels.

In addition to the set, fans can immerse themselves in a specially crafted Dungeons & Dragons adventure book, available for free digital download for LEGO Insiders or as a paperback book for 2,700 Insider points. This unique play experience, created in partnership with Wizards of the Coast, offers endless possibilities for storytelling and adventure.

Lucas Bolt shared his excitement, stating, "The Dungeons & Dragons theme combined with my love of history, fantasy, and making games inspired me to create a playable layout with different challenges and routes to explore. It's a real privilege seeing my design transformed into a detailed LEGO set."

The LEGO Ideas Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale set will be available for LEGO Insiders from April 1st and for all from April 4th, priced at $359.99. Plus, from April 1st to 7th, all purchases of the set will receive a LEGO Dungeons & Dragons Mimic Dice Box as a gift.
